HITEC 2016 in New Orleans

The hotel guest of 2016 and for the past few years have grown to expect the same broadband experience during their stay in a hotel as they do at home and this demand to be connected has created a problem for the hospitality community in a number of ways.  Hotels used to rely on their telephone systems and selling movies on demand in the room.  Today, a guest might not even utilize the hotel’s PBX to make any calls and would rather stream video on their tablets and laptops.  The number one complaint in the hotel space today is about high-speed Internet access.  Of course there is typically WiFi deployed but these systems quickly become overloaded and more often than not come at an expense.  Wireless service providers can and typically do help filling the data demand gap via a Distributed Antenna System (DAS).  With speeds exceeding 50 MB 4G LTE networks in most cases can outperform deployed WiFi networks.

ADRF, manufacturer of the ADX and ADX V fiber DAS systems had the pleasure of exhibiting along side RoamBoost, a national DAS integrator at HITECH 2016 in New Orleans, LA.  The 2016 HITECH was the highest attended conference so far with 6,395 hospitality professionals representing 65 countries.  The exhibit floor was home to 342 exhibitors and 867 exhibit booths showcasing the latest in hospitality technology products and services.  With RoamBoost’s expertise in the hospitality industry and ADRF’s expertise in Fiber DAS this partnership can help the hotelier quickly overcome the demand for data and create a seamless coverage experience for each of their guests.
