Job Description:

ADRF (Advanced RF Technologies, Inc.) is the leading provider of in-building wireless solutions that ensure seamless connectivity in commercial and public structures. We are seeking an experienced RF Systems Engineer to support the Product Engineering (PE) team in designing high-performance wireless systems that meet the stringent requirements of modern 5G networks, including Open RAN (O-RAN) architectures. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Korean and English and bridge the gap between RF hardware and digital processing, utilizing knowledge of 3GPP standards and System-on-Chip (SoC) technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Architecture Design: Support the PE team to define and design the overall system architecture for 5G DAS and Repeaters, including RF chain planning, Link Budget analysis, and Cascade analysis (Gain, NF, IP3).

  • RF & Digital Integration: Support the PE team in the integration of RF front-end modules with digital processing units, focusing on AMD (Xilinx) MPSoC and RFSoC platforms.

  • 3GPP Compliance: Ensure all designs meet 3GPP LTE/5G NR specifications, specifically regarding EVM, ACLR, and spectrum emission masks.

  • System Verification: Conduct system verification using high-end RF instruments (Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Signal Generators).

Qualifications (Mandatory):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in RF system design and development for wireless infrastructure.

  • RF Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of RF transceiver architectures (RF Direct, Zero-IF, Super-Heterodyne) and passive/active components.

  • Simulation Skills: Proficiency in RF/System simulation tools (Keysight ADS, SystemVue, MATLAB Simulink).

  • Standards: Strong knowledge of 3GPP specifications (LTE, 5G NR FR1/FR2).

  • Instrumentation: Proficiency in operating RF test equipment (Keysight/Rohde & Schwarz).

  • Language: Korean, English.

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • SoC Proficiency: Experience with AMD Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC or RFSoCdevices.

  • DFE Proficiency: Experience with implementing or verifying DFE on RFSoC platforms.

  • O-RAN Knowledge: Experience with O-RAN system development, specifically familiarity with Split 7.2x architecture and eCPRI interfaces.

  • mmWave Proficiency: Experience with millimeter-wave (mmWave) system design and beamforming technologies.
